Declining Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction

RULES FOR USE

  • Use this procedure when declining magistrate judge jurisdiction in Civil cases, including Social Security cases, assigned to a magistrate judge as the presiding officer at case opening.
  • Do not use this procedure to submit consents to magistrate judge jurisdiction in Civil or Social Security cases assigned to a district judge.  Instead, submit the consents for these cases using the Procedure for Submitting Proposed Documents, available on the Court's website.
  • Direct any questions about this procedure to the Clerk's office at 918-699-4700.

CASES FILED BEFORE AUGUST 28, 2023

  1. Complete Form CV-30, Statement as to Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction, available on the Court's website.
  2. Email the completed form to the Court at Consents_OKND@oknd.uscourts.gov.

CASES FILED ON OR AFTER AUGUST 28, 2023

  1. Complete Form CV-31, Notice of Assignment of Case to a United States Magistrate Judge and Declination of Consent Form, which was issued by the Court in your case.
  2. Email the completed form to the Court at Consents_OKND@oknd.uscourts.gov.
